Die Produktreihe LUMISIL® umfasst optische Hochleistungssilicone für höchste Ansprüche in den Bereichen LED-Fertigung, Sekundäroptik und Beleuchtungstechnik.

Alle LUMISIL® Produkte überzeugen mit herausragenden Eigenschaften: Sie ermöglichen eine sehr effiziente, kostengünstige Produktion und zeichnen sich durch ein optimiertes Fließ- und Vernetzungsverhalten sowie hohe Lichtbeständigkeit aus. Je nach geforderter Geometrie der Linse bieten wir LUMISIL® in unterschiedlichen Verarbeitungsarten an: Dispensing/Jetting, Transfer- und Injection-Molding.

Je nach Anwendung ist der Brechungsindex entscheidend für die Wahl des Linsenoptik-Materials. LUMISIL® ist für beide Brechungsindex-Varianten erhältlich:

  • high refractive index (HRI)
  • normal refractive index (NRI)

LUMISIL® Silicone für HRI verbinden eine hohe Lichtausbeute mit einer geringen Gasdurchlässigkeit, die das Innere der LED vor Korrosion schützt. Dadurch eignen sie sich besonders für High-End-Anwendungen in Fernsehgeräten und Displays als auch in Autoscheinwerfern. Basis der LUMISIL® HRI Silicone ist eine von WACKER entwickelte, patentierte Technologie.

Im Bereich der NRI-Technologie bietet WACKER eine Reihe von Siliconen an, die sich besonders effizient verarbeiten lassen. LUMISIL® Typen mit normalem Brechungsindex eignen sich hervorragend für Hochleistungs-LEDs, da sie großer Strahlung und Hitze standhalten. Ein Anwendungsfeld ist unter anderem die Allgemeinbeleuchtung, bei der der Kostenaspekt und damit die Verarbeitungseffizienz eine zentrale Rolle spielen.
