WACKER, the Munich-based chemical group, will be debuting the new addition-curing silicone rubber ELASTOSIL® R plus 4350/55 at this year’s Fakuma tradeshow. The grade can be used to produce heat-resistant tubing and sealing profiles, such as for oven and stove doors and engine-compartment parts.

Concentrated solar power technologies (CSP) use parabolic trough collectors to concentrate sunlight onto vacuum receivers filled with heat-transfer fluid. According to a recently signed agreement, Munich-based Wacker Chemie AG will supply its newly developed HELISOL® silicone fluid in China exclusively to Royal Tech CSP Limited, a specialist for highly efficient solar thermal systems based on CSP technologies.
