In 2018, the production of L-cystine – the starting material for L-cysteine – was transferred to a new site in León, Spain. Due to their entirely plant-based and inorganic source materials, WACKER cystine and cysteine are purely vegan. They are ideal for use in food and pharmaceutical products.
