Description
Nail polishes have been a basic beauty accessory across all socioeconomic levels for decades. Although it can often draw singular attention, there is no rule when it comes to nail polish choice. One can opt for any color, texture or finish one prefers.
In contrast to this broad variety of choices, when it comes to the basic performance requirements the expectations to a nail polish are quite narrow and well- defined. A favorable nail polish should be easy to apply, have a short drying time, provide a glossy or matte finish with uniform coverage, be durable and have high split resistance.
In this webinar we will explain how nail polishes are formulated and how we at WACKER can test their performance.
In addition, we will also highlight, which BELSIL® and HDK® ingredients we can offer to improve the performance of a nail polish formulation.
A special focus will be set on the product BELSIL® P 1101 our film-forming hybrid silicone. BELSIL® P 1101 helps to lower friction significantly whenever nails are touched. The result: nails feel soft and silky, and become very resistant to mechanical damage such as scratches that often mar the look, finish and longevity of a standard nail polish. You can feel it immediately, the nail polish formulation containing BELSIL® P 1101 give your nails a nice and extravagant sensation.
Of course, we will also explain, how versatile different grades of HDK® could be when used within a nail polish formulation. For example, adding HDK® to a nail polish formulation ensures a better distribution of the pigments and prevents sedimentation. And in addition, HDK® provides a thixotropic effect improving the rheology and facilitating the application of the formulation.
Within the frame of the webinar we will also introdue our new nail polish landing page on WACKER.com
Looking forward, to speak to you about nail polishes.
