How to select the ideal release liner

Study results and product recommendations :

You want to develop a new product? Your task is to find a release liner that does not remove the skin adhesive during peel off?

Benefit from our extensive study: LOPAREX and WACKER have identified ideal adhesive and liner combinations for different applications.

These factors have been taken into account:

  • Material compatibility between the adhesive and release liner is important. Both can have a significant impact on product performance.
  • It should be possible to peel off the release liner without removing the adhesive.
  • Shelf-life is important: The release force should not exceed two and a half times the initial force after nine weeks at room temperature.
  • The release force should not exceed 0.5 N/in.
