Textile Coatings

Coatings can play a significant role in contributing to the overall performance of textile and leather products used in different applications and can positively influence how the products are perceived by end customers. We offer a number of different silicone and polymer products that can deliver a variety of desired attributes, including products that can make surfaces less slippery, more resistant to fire & abrasion, or simply feel better in the hands of the user.

Artificial leather is very popular at the moment, particularly in the fields of interior design, furnishings and upholstery. Silicone rubber can be used for producing artificial leather that very closely resembles the original in terms of its tactile properties, durability, tear strength and longevity. Its outstanding water-repellent properties give it a huge advantage over traditional artificial leather.
Benefits:
- Supple feel
- Water-repellent
- Odorless
- Reduces weight
- Fire safety
- UV resistance
- Chemical resistance
- Easy to clean
Applications:
- Interiors
- Seating (in cars and planes)
- Industrial applications

Control over the spread of fire is an important attribute that can be provided by textile coatings and is an area in which our VINNOL® and VINNAPAS® products can excel in your coatings formulations. Due to their low initial flammability and their compatibility with a wide range of flame-retardant additives, VINNOL® and VINNAPAS® binders can help you meet strict flame-retardant standards, while minimizing your formulation costs.
