BELSIL® EG 3000, BELSIL® eco EG 3001 – Greater Formulation Options
New: the resource-efficient alternative for anyone wanting to avoid volatile siloxanes as a solvent – BELSIL® eco EG 3001 contains a mixture of undecane and tridecane that is extracted, for example, from coconut oil. The solvent is fully degraded in the environment by microorganisms. BELSIL® EG 3000 uses the organic solvent isohexadecane, which evaporates quickly on contact with air.
Lab tests show that these new resource-efficient elastomer gels perform almost as well as siloxane-based grades. BELSIL® EG 3000 and BELSIL® eco EG 3001 are suitable for formulating a very wide range of skin-care and hair-care products with low environmental impact (EWG verified).

BELSIL® REG 1103 B – The Allure of Water
Unlike a conventional elastomer gel, BELSIL® REG 1103 B is hydrophilic – mixing it with water produces a thick water-in-oil emulsion with a homogeneous, full-bodied texture. No emulsifier needed. The sugar-modified silicone in the gel acts as an emulsifier all on its own, allowing formulators to create beauty products with a more straightforward design.

What makes BELSIL® REG 1103 B so innovative is that, while it is water-compatible, it is not water-soluble. Quite the opposite: the silicone resin elastomer gel makes the formulation more water- and transfer-resistant. In other words, lipsticks stay kissproof for longer, makeup products in general are less likely to lose their color, and sunscreens continue to provide reliable protection even after swimming.

It is extremely easy to spread and, once dry, forms a water-resistant film. This film ensures that nothing gets smudged. Lipstick, mascara and sunscreen last for a particularly long time. What’s more, scents are released slowly.
BELSIL® eco REG 1102 – Made with Renewable Raw Materials
BELSIL® eco REG 1102 is a resource-efficient grade that is chemically identical to its conventional counterpart. The only thing that sets it apart is that we have replaced the methanol needed to make BELSIL® eco REG 1102 with biomethanol, which is entirely plant-based.

This product expands our portfolio to include elastomer gels from renewable raw materials. Applying the biomass balance method here allows us to replace up to 100% of the fossil raw materials used with renewable raw materials that are certified as sustainable.
