WACKER attaches great importance to the localization of R&D and the development of local talent.
In close collaboration with local customers, our experienced application experts develop applications and products that meet the Chinese market’s needs. As a focal point for the transfer of WACKER expertise, the technical centers hold various training programs and offer customers in-plant support. Also through the technical centers, WACKER has been continuously strengthening its cooperation with standardization bodies, institutions and universities in China to support the establishment of modern industry standards and the promotion of advanced materials.
The new WACKER Shanghai Center is located in Shanghai Caohejing High-tech Park. Covering 10,000 square meters and stretching over 6 floors, the new WACKER Shanghai Center houses more than 300 employees, and has become a regional HQ with integrated functions ranging from profit, settlement and management functions to marketing, branding, R&D and procurement. The WACKER Shanghai Center hosts over 30 application laboratories and an analysis lab for a wide range of industries including electronics, construction, coatings, food, automobile, textiles, cosmetics and paper. By strengthening the WACKER Shanghai Center’s service portfolio, technological innovation capabilities and personnel resources, WACKER will accelerate its growth in China.
