Located at the Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) technology park in a 3,200 m² building and spanning a plot of nearly 13,000 m², the technical center is furnished with state-of-the-art equipment and hosts the sales operations, research and application labs, and a training academy.
The ultramodern technical center in Dubai is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and offers a very unique set-up for this region. By having this facility under the same roof as the WACKER ACADEMY and the regional sales office, WACKER is setting new standards in service, advice and transfer of expertise, offering customers and business partners considerable added value. Furthermore, all laboratories are ISO certified.
WACKER expanded the service portfolio at its technical center in Dubai to include a dedicated laboratory for interior and exterior paints and coatings applications in addition to the existing lab for construction chemicals. The new lab comprises applications technology and test equipment for polymer dispersions needed as binders for interior architectural paints.
A further focus is on silicone additives and binders for interior and exterior paints and coatings. The expansion not only enables WACKER to help its local customers develop new and tailor-made products for the strongly growing market for high-quality coatings. It also encourages the exchange of know-how and promotes internationally recognized quality standards in the region.
In Johannesburg, South Africa, WACKER maintains a mobile lab ( WACKER MyLab) at the site of our distribution partner (IMCD), where local customers can learn about the benefits and specifications of our products and applications – live and in person.
