Baby Care
Products like pacifiers, baby bottle nipples and teething rings help give our littlest ones a pleasant start in life. Rounding out the baby care line are silicone articles such as nipple protectors for nursing, as well as sippy cup lids and silicone spoons.
More than most products, baby care products have to withstand considerable stress from sucking, biting and chewing and must be absolutely free of harmful substances. The materials used are subject to stringent quality requirements.
In addition to our standard products, we also offer the ELASTOSIL® LR 5040 series as a special low-volatile product portfolio for these highly sensitive applications: products in this line are characterized by their exceptionally low content of volatile substances and by their outstanding mechanical properties. They have also been tested for biocompatibility. Because they already meet the legal requirements for baby care products even without postcuring, they offer significant advantages in terms of cost-efficiency and productivity.
These transparent silicones are odorless and tasteless and can be pigmented in a number of ways.
