Team Singapore’s Pink Ribbon Walk
Team Singapore spent a Sunday in October at the Pink Ribbon Walk. Kickstarting at the Marina Bay Sands, the trail took the pink party on a scenic route round Singapore’s downtown landmarks. The sea of pink was an empowering sight, demonstrating strength in unity against the disease through community awareness and support. WACKER is proud to play a part for breast cancer awareness!
Team Indonesia’s community outreach
At Indonesia’s Care for Cancer Kids Foundation, which has supported children with cancer since 2006, the Indonesia team contributed a generous donation to fund and support the children’s journeys toward full recovery. At Rumah Ruth, a pro-life foundation supporting women with unwanted pregnancies and their children, the team had a chance not just to donate to the foundation’s noble cause, but also to hear the stories of various young families who had come through Rumah Ruth’s doors.
Team Thailand’s community outreach
In May 2023, the Thailand team visited the Foundation for Slum Child Care (FSCC), a daycare center caring for children from Bangkok’s slums, and Division of Older Persons Welfare Promotion and Rights Protection. Aside from monetary donations, they also donated various household items to support the beneficiaries.
Team Vietnam visits Mai Tam Center
Our Vietnam team visited Mai Tam Center, a social patient care facility providing more than 60 HIV-affected children a safe, supportive environment with the care and support they need. Our team got to learn about the stigma and disadvantages the AIDS-afflicted face in Vietnam, which Mai Tam is working to combat. They also contributed a range of donations including stationery and foodstuff, as part of the effort to raise awareness and support the children’s bright futures.
