C-Touch & Display Shenzhen 2019: WACKER Presents Silicone Gel for Optical Bonding of Large Screens

At C-Touch & Display Shenzhen (C-Touch) 2019, WACKER will launch SILGEL^{^®} 601 CN, a two-component silicone gel especially developed for optical bonding of large-sized screens. Featuring pronounced inherent tackiness and excellent weather resistance, this product cures rapidly when heated and hardly exudates fluids. SILGEL^{^®} 601 CN is ideal for the optical bonding of large-sized screens used for educational purposes and outdoor displays. At C-Touch 2019, WACKER will also present optically clear silicone resins (OCR). From UV-cure to thermal-cure, LUMISIL^{^®} products are suitable for different production process. Applications include displays for vehicle-mounted navigation and aviation. C-Touch 2019 takes place in Shenzhen, China, from November 21 to 23.

SILGEL^{^®} 601 CN is a pourable, addition-curing, RTV-2 silicone rubber that vulcanizes at room temperature to a very soft silicone gel. The product features medium viscosity, high transparency, low shrinkage, as well as pronounced inherent tackiness and excellent damping performance. Thanks to the unique properties of silicones, the gel’s performance regarding UV and weather stability and high/low temperature-resistance is outstanding. The product is highly reliable and hardly yellows.

Compared to similar silicone OCRs in the market, SILGEL^{^®} 601 CN demonstrates higher tackiness and exudes hardly any silicone fluid. It cures rapidly when heated and is suitable for different production processes, such as dry bonding, injection or dispensing. It is ideal for the optical bonding of large-sized screens used for education and outdoor display.

During C-Touch 2019, WACKER will also showcase LUMISIL^{^®} optically clear silicone resins. The series includes UV-curing as well as thermal-cure OCRs. Viscosities vary from 2,000 to 45,000 mPa*s which matches the requirements of all production processes used in the industry, ranging from injection, fishbone dispensing, and slit coating to screen printing and stencil printing. WACKER’s comprehensive product portfolio meets various industry requirements. Applications include touch screens for vehicle-mounted navigation and aviation purposes as well as portable and public information displays.
