At WACKER, we are convinced that knowledge and ideas – when shared – can change the world and create new opportunities and prospects. Let’s use the European Coatings Show 2025 as an opportunity to discuss our innovative ideas and forward-looking strategies for the coatings, construction and adhesives industries.
Here are some of the topics we would like to share with you:

The polymer resin binder with enhanced solubility
Our VINNOL® L-6868 polymer resin binder has the lowest viscosity within our VINNOL® family and is compatible with a wide range of UV monomers and reactive diluents. The product’s most notable characteristic is its very good solubility in all kinds of solvents. Thanks to its very low molecular weight, VINNOL® L-6868 binder represents the optimal solution for formulators dealing with challenges relating to flow properties, intercoat adhesion and flexibility in UV-curing systems. Use VINNOL® L-6868 for your solvent-borne coatings, printing inks, high-solids and UV-curing systems or to formulate wood, paper, and film coatings.
Do you want to know how you can benefit from VINNOL® L-6868? We’re here to explain!

Our new solid resin binder with less GHG emissions
In VINNOL® H 15/45 M (Renewable Energy), we offer you an opportunity to improve your product carbon footprint. The use of renewable energy sources reduces the amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions during production. As a result, VINNOL® H 15/45 M (Renewable Energy) has a 19% lower carbon footprint than its conventional counterpart. VINNOL® H 15/45 M (Renewable Energy) is suitable for heat-sealing, industrial coatings and printing inks. It does not differ in any respect from the properties and quality of the conventional grade and can be used immediately as a drop-in solution.
Do you want to know how to integrate VINNOL® H 15/45 efficiently into your production processes? We’re here to show you!

Advanced polymers for tile adhesives with composite cements
Approximately 8% of global CO2 emissions are caused by the cement industry. To reduce CO2 emissions, the cement industry is cutting the cement clinker content significantly. However, new composite cement types can pose challenges to mortar performance, such as diminished tensile adhesion strength after immersion in water.
Our recent tests on an existing formulation for a tile adhesive classified as C2TE according to EN 12004 show that these performance issues can be overcome by using advanced dispersible polymer powders with a hydrophobic polymer backbone. Examples of such advanced polymer powders are VINNAPAS® 8118 E, 8620 E and 7220 E.
And just as our comprehensive VINNAPAS® portfolio enables the use of composite cements in high-performance dry mortar formulations, significantly reducing their carbon footprint without sacrificing performance, we will strive to be part of other sustainable solutions for the future.
Do you want to find out how VINNAPAS® dispersible polymer powders can contribute to your sustainability goals? We’re here to discuss.

Insect-repellent paints and coatings
Insect repellents that deter insects from landing, climbing or remaining on a surface can help prevent and control the outbreak of insect-borne diseases. In CAVAMAX® and CAVASOL®, we offer a solution for developing a product that meets growing consumer concerns about the use of “harsh” chemicals and the need for greener, natural alternatives that are just as effective. CAVAMAX® and CAVASOL® cyclodextrins are capable of encapsulating other organic molecules in a reversible, equilibrium-controlled process. This allows encapsulated essential oils to be added to water-borne paints and coatings to give them a long-lasting insect repellent effect.
Do you want to find out how your coatings and customers can benefit from CAVAMAX® and CAVASOL® cyclodextrins? We’re here to let you know!
