Make an appointmentElectrical Components – Perfectly Insulated
Need to insulate machines and components thermally and electrically while reliably protecting them against external influences? Then there is no way around silicone resins: their heat resistance and wear resistance make them the materials of choice for a wide range of applications. When used as the impregnation for electric motors, they protect the coil from moisture and external influences. They have also proven their worth in the production of electrically or thermally insulating composites and insulating tapes based on mica, glass fabric or mineral fibers.
Discover how silicone resins can benefit your electrical engineering applications:
- outstanding electrical insulation
- water-repellent
- gas-permeable
- high thermal resistance

Railway Vehicles – Safety on the Move
Strong vibrations, high fire safety requirements, extreme loads: with railway vehicles, you need to pay even more attention to durable components and materials. Our silicone elastomers are ideal for this, because they are able to withstand constant mechanical stress, are water-repellent and heat-stable. Potting with flame-retardant silicone gel prevents moisture from penetrating into the electronics.
Discover the strengths of silicone elastomers for your electrical applications:
- Traction motors: potting of the slot exit and electrical junction boxes, winding head coating
- Transformers and chokes: protective coating on coils
- Traction transformers and signal transponders: protective potting of power modules and transmission electronics
- Signals: Housing sealing
Thanks to their low viscosity, silicone elastomers are ideally suited for potting or coating. Unlike silicone resins, they also crosslink at room temperature – this benefits heat-sensitive components and keeps process costs low.

Battery Safety – Protection against Fire and Heat in Electromobility
Fire safety and thermal insulation are top priorities for electric vehicle batteries. Silicone resins open up innovative possibilities here: Fiber composites based on silicone resins offer a combination of unprecedented fire resistance and thermal insulation. In the event of fire, they react with fillers and fibers to form ceramic materials. When used as battery housings or heat shields, they can protect the passenger compartment from the high temperatures that occur in the event of a thermal runaway.
