VINNAPAS® 5410 N

VINNAPAS® 5410 N is a multi-purpose dispersible polymer powder for dry mix mortars, specifically suited for tile adhesives.

It is based on a semi flexible copolymer of vinylacetate and ethylene and belongs to the product class VINNAPAS® N which means that it has a neutral effect on rheology and provides the basic properties flexibility, excellent tensile adhesion and good open time, giving a high degree of formulation freedom. VINNAPAS® 5410 N is part of our standard range, offering you the best-in-class solution for a wide variety of applications.

 


Properties

  • VINNAPAS® 5410 N is a dispersible polymer powder based on vinyl acetate-ethylene.
  • VINNAPAS® 5410 N is a polymeric binder and is ideal for modifying cementitious drymix mortars, especially tile adhesives.
  • It provides good workability improved adhesion, flexibility, deformability and abrasion resistance.
  • VINNAPAS® 5410 N contains a fine mineral filler as an antiblocking agent.
  • It is produced without the use of organic solvents, plasticizers and film-forming agents.
  • VINNAPAS® 5410 N has no effect on rheological properties and is a polymer powder in the medium Tg range.
  • It is suitable for formulating high-quality, low-emissions flexible tile adhesive that feature excellent tensile adhesion strength, especially after immersion in water and heat ageing.

For the production of ready-mixed dry mortars, such as adhesives and patching compounds, blend VINNAPAS® 5410 N with the other dry ingredients in appropriate equipment. Temperatures should not be allowed to rise excessively during mixing because otherwise the dispersible polymer powder could agglomerate by virtue of its thermoplastic properties. The mortar is prepared for use by adding the recommended amount of water and mixing mechanically or by hand. Since hand mixing generates little shear force, we recommend allowing the fresh mortar to slake for 5 minutes and then stirring it again. This is usually unnecessary where mechanical mixers are employed.

If VINNAPAS® 5410 N is used in applications other than those mentioned, the choice, processing and use of VINNAPAS® 5410 N is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. All legal and other regulations must be complied with. Slight color variations of the dispersible polymer powder may occur without impairing the product's functionality.

Storage

Das Produkt ist während der Lagerung vor der Einwirkung von Feuchtigkeit zu schützen. Eine längere Lagerung bei Temperaturen über 30°C, auch in Verbindung mit Druckbelastung, Feuchtigkeit oder Sonneneinstrahlung, kann zur Verblockung führen. Offene Gebinde sollten sorgfältig verschlossen und ebenfalls entsprechend gelagert werden. Daher empfiehlt sich ein Lagerhaus, in dem das Produkt kühl und trocken aufbewahrt werden kann. Lagern Sie das Produkt nicht länger als sechs Monate, beginnend mit dem Eingangsdatum, es sei denn, das Analysezertifikat enthält ein anderes Datum, welches dann Vorrang hätte. Eine Lagerung über den empfohlenen Zeitpunkt hinaus bedeutet nicht, dass das Produkt unbrauchbar geworden ist. Eine Überprüfung der für den vorgesehenen Einsatzzweck erforderlichen Eigenschaften durch den Anwender ist dann jedoch ratsam.
