WACKER® JSD 50E
WACKER® JSD 50E is a 50% solids, premier, Jet Stable, “Free Rinsing”, silicone defoamer emulsion concentrate formulated to permit the user flexibility and economics in use that is effective in a wide range of industrial applications. WACKER® JSD 50E is based on a high molecular weight polysiloxane and silica technology. It is safe to use in high alkaline and high temperature textile applications. WACKER® JSD 50E has excellent foam knockdown.

WACKER® JSD 50E has proved ideal for tackling foam in textile auxillaries and processes (such as dyeing), and incorporation into surfactant formulations as well as many industrial applications. Its versatility as a processing auxiliary is valued throughout the chemical industry. WACKER® JSD 50E is recommended for many industrial applications including, foam control in bleach and scour baths, in beck, jet or package dyeing, and in finish formulations.
Dilution Procedure:
5% Active
Thickener Premix 44.00%
(To viscosity of 500-800 cst)
(CMC or Kelzan is recommended)

Water 46.00%
Procedure:
1. Charge thickener premix (Enough thickener should be used to reach a minimum viscosity of 500 cst for optimum stability).
2. Slowly charge WACKER® JSD 50E (it is recommended to stir WACKER® JSD 50E before use) while mixing on slow without any shearing. Propeller mixer is adequate.
3. Charge water. Let mix for 10 minutes. Avoid over mixing.

Storage
WACKER® JSD 50E has a shelf life of at least 180 days from the date of the delivery note if stored in tightly closed containers at temperature not exceeding 25° and protected against freezing.
It is recommended to stir before use.
The "Best use before end date" of each batch is shown on the Certificate of Analysis. Storage beyond the date specified on the Certificate of Analysis does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
