SILFOAM® SE 4261
SILFOAM® SE 4261 is a low to medium viscous antifoam emulsion that is based on a highly organomodified polysiloxane.
Eigenschaften
SILFOAM® SE 4261 prevents foaming (act as an antifoam) and destroys existing foam (acts as defoamer) in a large number of aqueous systems.
It is ideal for systems in which silicones would usually cause problems:
- PVC degassing
- Manufacture and processing of polymer dispersions for textiles, paper, paints and surface coatings, as well as adhesives
- Cooling lubricants
- Textile formulat ions

In general we recommend to stir the emulsion before use (approx. 3 minutes with a propeller stirrer at 200 – 400 rpm). But be cautious: too high shear can break the emulsion.
The typical dosage is in the range of 0.05 to 1.0 % and is best determined by preliminary tests.
SILFOAM® SE 4261 can be dosed undiluted, as it is already sufficiently dispersed by its emulsion form.
Lagerung
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable.
In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
