WACKER® FINISH WS 62 M
WACKER® FINISH WS 62 M is a clear, colourless polydimethylsiloxane fluid having silanole groups in α,ω-position.
Eigenschaften
WACKER® FINISH WS 62 M can react with itself or with alkoxy functional silanes in a condensation reaction.
By reaction of WACKER® FINISH WS 62 M with alkoxy silanes, functional silicone fluids are provided.
Especially, aminosilicones can be produced by reaction with aminoethylaminopropyl-functional silanes. These aminosilicones impart excellent softness to all kinds of textiles.
WACKER® FINISH WS 62 M and functional silanes are usually reacted neat at elevated temperature. The reaction speed of the condensation can be enhanced by acidic as well as alkaline catalysts. Resulting condensation by-products, i.e. water and alcohol can be removed from the reaction mixture at reduced pressure.
