WACKER® E22A

WACKER® E22A is a nonionic silicone emulsion of a high viscosity, α,ω-dihydroxy polydimethylsiloxane ("silanol terminal PDMS"). WACKER® E22A can be used in various applications - general purpose release agent, ironing aid in aerosol formulations of starch, printing additive in off-set printing, release agent for foundries.

In mold release applications, WACKER® E22A is normally diluted to 0.5 - 5.0%. However, in a polish or specialty product formulation, the emulsion is normally used in concentrated form. Normally, a high viscosity type silicone will give high gloss and durability, while the lower viscosity fluid emulsions are easier to apply and rubout.



 

Storage

The "Best use before end date" of each batch is shown on the Certificate of Analysis. Storage beyond the date specified on the Certificate of Analysis does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
