WETSOFT® LV 750
WETSOFT® LV 750 is a nonionic waterfree silicone softener concentrate of a self dispersing hydrophilic silicone fluid.
Properties
By improving hand and because of its hydrophilic nature, WETSOFT® LV 750 considerably improves the wearing comfort of textiles. Simple dilution of WETSOFT® LV 750 in warm water yields a macro emulsion, providing a specially supple and surface oriented hand to all treated textiles.
The hydrophilic properties are the result of the special orientation of WETSOFT® LV 750 on the fiber surface. This allows unrestricted moisture transport within the fabric, together with the excellent hand that is generally associated with high-quality silicone textile softeners.
Due to the distinct silklike and supple softness effect it is particularly suitable for light knitted and woven goods of all kinds of fibres where hydrophilic properties are required.
WETSOFT® LV 750 bonds more strongly to the fiber surface than glycol- and quatfunctional polysiloxanes. This leads to better exhaustibility and wash resistance.

Application:
WETSOFT® LV 750 is used for hydrophilic treatment of fibers and textiles of all kinds. On hydrophilic substrates such as cellulosics, the hydrophilic properties are not usually affected, whereas hydrophobic substrates such as polyester usually experience a clear improvement in wetting properties.
WETSOFT® LV 750 provides woven goods and knitwear with a silk-like soft, supple and smooth hand.
When applied under normal conditions WETSOFT® LV 750 has only very little effect on the whiteness. It does not generally affect the color shade or fastness of colored goods.
WETSOFT® LV 750 is suitable for padding and for application in the exhaust process. It can be used on its own or together with organic fabric softeners, polyethylene waxes and other finishing agents. The compatibility should be tested on a case-by-case basis.
Processing:
Procedure to prepare a macro emulsion:
1. step: 1:1 dilution with water
Add 100 g of 50°C warm water to 100 g of WETSOFT® LV 750, mix thoroughly and continue stirring at 750 – 1000 rpm speed until the mixture becomes fully homogeneous.
Add 2,1 g of acetic acid (80%) finally while stirring to obtain a ready-to-use hydrophilic macro emulsion.
2. step: Further dilution (optional)
Add 200 g of water (room temperature) gradually with continuous stirring to obtain a milky white, 25% solids macro emulsion.
For padding it is recommended to use 10 to 30 g/l of a 25% dilution of WETSOFT® LV 750. For the exhaust process, 1 to 2 % of a 25% dilution of WETSOFT® LV 750 is used, based on the weight of the textile.
If necessary the 25% emulsion of WETSOFT® LV 750 can be further diluted down to any desired concentration.
Example of an emulsification recipe:
WETSOFT® LV 750: 100 g
Demineralized Water (50°C): 100 g
Acetic acid (80%): 2,1 g
Demineralized Water (RT): 200 g

Storage
Store in a dry and cool place.
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
The product should be stirred well before use.
