WACKER® E 3157
WACKER® E 3157 is a nonionic oil-in-water-emulsion of a medium viscosity polydimethylsiloxane dispersed in water. Even
in diluted form, the emulsion is well stable with regard to shear stress. In addition, it exhibits excellent wetting and spreading properties. WACKER® E 3157 can easily be incorporated into coldstirred formulations.
WACKER® E 3157 can be used for the formulation of release agents in rubber processing.
Furthermore, the emulsion is suitable best for the formulation of paint and vinyl conditioners. The polydimethylsiloxane ingredient supports an easy polishing of the conditioner formulations and improves the brightness.
In rotary offset printing, WACKER® E 3157 improves the heat resistance of the paper web and reduces its sensitivity to shear. WACKER® E 3157 bestows good antiblocking properties on the paper web making it resistant to mechanical stress
and letting it glide over the rollers very easily.
WACKER® E 3157 has to be stirred well before use.
Storage
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
