ELASTOSIL® R 531/60 /E/2003

ELASTOSIL® R 531/60 /E/2003 is a peroxide curing HCR silicone for the insulation of busbar systems.


Properties

ELASTOSIL® R 531/60 /E/2003 was especially designed for following challenges:

 

  • Better low temperature flexibility at -40 °C
  • Excellent dielectric strength
  • High heat resistance (240 h at 205 °C, 3000 h at 180 °C)
  • No cracks, ruptures or other damages after notched bar impact test
  • Flexibility / bendability over a wide temperature range (-55 °C to 210 °C)

 

 

In case of thermal runaway ELASTOSIL® R 531/60 /E/2003 forms a ceramic-like layer with high insulation resistance & good mechanical stability to prevent a short circuit.

Specific features of ELASTOSIL® R 531/60 /E/2003

  • Ceramifying
  • Flame retardant
  • Heat resistant

Please consider the technical data sheet of the corresponding curing agent to maintain best processing behavior.

Please avoid temperatures >30 °C along the production.

Packaging

This product is available in 540 kg cardboard packaging.

 

Special delivery forms are possible but depend on several technical and commercial aspects. Please contact your local sales manager in such cases.

Storage

Please store the cardboard boxes in a dry and cool place. Already opened boxes should be closed again to avoid any contamination. The `Best use before end` date of each batch is shown on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
