SILRES® BS 1603 CN
SILRES® BS 1603 CN is intended primarily for in-plant water-repellent treatment of fiber-reinforced cement-products, like e.g. fiber-cement board. It significantly reduces the capillary water absorption of the construction materials after setting and reaching equilibrium moisture.
Eigenschaften
SILRES® BS 1603 CN is a liquid but waterless oligomeric siloxane of a relatively low viscosity. It is not water-thinable, but intended to be used in water-based construction material processes involving high-shear mixer units, especially for manufacturing fiber-reinforced cement-products, like e.g. fiber-cement board. As an admix additive for the integral water-repellent treatment, it is usually added undiluted into the mixer.

SILRES® BS 1603 CN is added undiluted into the mixer, usually at dosage levels ranging from 0.1 to 0.3 % by weight based on the overall solids level. For the unimpaired product performance proper mixing into the cement-based slurry is required.
Lagerung
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
