WACKER® FINISH CT 27 E

WACKER® FINISH CT 27 E is a waterbased dispersion of a one component, precured silicone rubber.

WACKER® FINISH CT 27 E is predominantly used as additive for organic polymer dispersions in textile fine coating applications in order to achieve a softer, more pleasant and elastic hand feel.

The product is self-crosslinking and forms a transparent, elastic film on surfaces.

In the application process on technical textiles (woven goods), a maximum temperature of 180 °C (356 °F) should not be exceeded.

Excellent water tightness values and a soft hand will be reached by a two-step coating process, consisting of a base coat with an acrylate dispersion and a top coat with a mixture of an acrylate dispersion and WACKER® FINISH CT 27 E.

In the case of a combination coating with WACKER® FINISH CT 27 E and the coating agent, a smooth, elastic and rubber-like touch can be achieved.

 

Recipe suggestion for combination coating:
70 parts acrylate dispersion
30 parts WACKER® FINISH CT 27 E
Curing and cross-linking at about 150 °C (300 °F) for two minutes.

  • 140 kg drum

Lagerung

The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons. Emulsions showing signs of creaming should be agitated before use to assure uniform consistency.
