SILFAR® E 1050

SILFAR® E 1050 is an aqueous silicone fluid emulsion containing a medium-viscous polydimethylsiloxane.

Besides, we recommend the SILFAR® E 1050 silicone fluid emulsion for applying a water-repellent coating to glassware used for pharmaceutical products, e.g. bottles, vials and ampoules. Suitable measures must be taken to ensure that the active ingredient in SILFAR® E 1050 is completely and permanently immobilized on the surface of the product in question.

 

The viscosity of SILFAR® E 1050 increases on prolonged storage.

However, intense stirring will decrease the viscosity to a certain extent.

The product is normally diluted before use. In this case the viscosity will drop to a constant value.

 


SILFAR® E 1050 complies with BfR (Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, formerly BgVV) recommendations XV and XXXVI as well as with FDA §§ 176.170.

Further information for storage: Keep container tightly closed. Store container(s) at room temperature in a dry, well-ventilated place.

Storage beyond the shelf life does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.

 

Shelf life: 720 days
