ELASTOSIL® AUX BATCH SB 2 is a smooth paste. The addition of ELASTOSIL® AUX BATCH SB 2 leads to increased flame retardancy. ELASTOSIL® AUX BATCH SB 2 is halogen free.

ELASTOSIL® AUX BATCH SB 2 can be incorporated into ELASTOSIL® R Silicone Rubber formulations to improve flame retardance of molded parts and extrdudates. ELASTOSIL® AUX BATCH SB 2 is compatible with most ELASTOSIL® PT pigment pastes. In single cases these and/or fillers might require an adjustment of the concentration.
ELASTOSIL® AUX BATCH SB 2 can be incorporated in Silicone Rubber formulations in quantities up to 2.2 phr. Depending on the concentration the mechanical properties might change slightly. Before processing, the batch has to be stired properly in order to compensate sedimentation. The ideal addition for the limiting oxygen index (LOI) is 2.2 phr.

Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
Any contact with sulphur and/or nitrogen compounds might impair the function of the additive and should be avoided.
