BELSIL® OW 2100 DE
BELSIL® OW 2100 DE is a copolymer of polydimethylsiloxane and organic glycol. BELSIL® OW 2100 DE has good compatibility with a wide range of cosmetic ingredients, such as water and alcohol. It is stable in water systems. BELSIL® OW 2100 DE has a calculated HLB of 12. Excellent conditioning effect can be achieved with low dosage level in formulation.

BELSIL® OW 2100 DE can be widely used in personal care applications, such as Shampoos, Conditioner, Styling Gel and other leave-on products, Skin Care Lotions, Shaving Cream and Body Wash, etc.
In Shampoo formulation, BELSIL® OW 2100 DE can improve silky smooth feeling as a light conditioning agent. In Body Wash formulation, BELSIL® OW 2100 DE helps to form dense and stable foam and improves the skin feel after washing.
In Hair Styling products, BELSIL® OW 2100 DE can be used as plasticizer to reduce the brittleness and exfoliate of organic polymer.
In Skin Care formulation, BELSIL® OW 2100 DE improves skin feeling and formulation stability as coemulsifier in O/W system.

During storage at lower temperatures BELSIL® OW 2100 DE can become hazy and solidify to a soft wax. This effect is reversed upon heating and is common to silicone glycol copolymers. The quality of the product or the product performance is not affected by repeated freeze thaw cycles.
Further information for storage: Store in a dry and cool place. The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
