SIPELL® RE 61 F
SIPELL® RE 61 F is a mercapto functional polydimethyl siloxane.
Properties
SIPELL® RE 61 F is a basic material for the formulation of water-based water repellents for leather. The mercapto group is suitable for the fixation to chromium tanned leather.

If water-based formulations of SIPELL® RE 61 F are made, care needs to be taken on the selection of the emulsifier to prevent effect reducing hydrophilicity. The application of the formulated water repellents is recommended in the wet-end process. Pre-tests are recommended in order to avoid incompatibility with the fat liquors.

The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
