SILFOAM® eco SE 1060
SILFOAM® eco SE 1060 is a versatile antifoam emulsion, which contains a comparatively high amount of emulsifier, based on renewable raw materials according to TÜV NORD Standard REDcert².
It features a high resistance to alkalis and acids and may further be used in a wide range of areas in which pH is critical.

SILFOAM® eco SE 1060 has proved ideal for tackling foam in surfactant rich formulations. It is mainly used in wastewater treatment but it is also a useful auxiliary in many processes of the chemical industry.

SILFOAM® eco SE 1060 is a low-viscosity emulsion, it can be metered readily, with stable dispersions easily attainable in highviscosity formulations.
In low-viscosity products, preliminary compatibility and stability tests should be performed on the system to be defoamed.
The amount to add to liquid formulations depends on the desired degree of foam control, but usually lies between 0.1 and 2 %.
If SILFOAM® eco SE 1060 is to be added during a process, the emulsion should be added undiluted, as it is already sufficiently dispersed by its emulsion form.
Especially after a longer storage time we recommend to stir the emulsion before use (approx. 3 minutes with a propeller stirrer at 200 – 400 rpm).
But be cautious: too high shear can break the emulsion.
If feed pumps are used, they should be of the low shear force type.

Maximum temperature allowed during storage and transportation: 40 °C
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
