LIOSIL® FC 201 E
LIOSIL® FC 201 E is a nonionic 60% Polysiloxan emulsion for fabric softeners. LIOSIL® FC 201 E is a one-component system which is cross-linking at higher temperatures.
Therefore LIOSIL® FC 201 E protects textiles, especially cotton-polyester union cloth, for wrinkles and improves handle and easy ironing properties.

LIOSIL® FC 201 E is combined with conventional fabric softeners.
Due to the special composition LIOSIL® FC 201 E is polymerizing to a high molecular polysiloxane while ironing. The fabrics get elastic shape stability and therefore a protection against wrinkles.
Even without ironing LIOSIL® FC 201 E improves the softness of fabrics.
Additionally LIOSIL® FC 201 E reduces the friction force of the iron and therefore the ironing properties are improved significantly.
Processing
Preferably LIOSIL® FC 201 E is mixed with the fabric softener at the end of fabric softener production by stirring gently.
Example for a fabric softener with LIOSIL® FC 201 E:
- 6,5 parts Esterquat (50°C) are poured slowly in
- 92,2 parts demineralized water (50°C) while stirring until the mixture is homogenous.
- q.s. perfume, dye, preservative are added
- 1,3 parts LIOSIL® FC 201 E are mixed while stirring.
Dosage recommendation: Approx. 0,5 - 3 % LIOSIL® FC 201 E in the fabric softener formulation.
The dosage of LIOSIL® FC 201 E in the fabric softener depends on the desired effects.
As desired the amount of the organic softener can be reduced with the rising amount of LIOSIL® FC 201 E.
Lagerung
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
