SILRES® BS 1340

SILRES® BS 1340 is a nonionic, solvent-free, waterborne emulsion of a reactive polysiloxane used in the formulation of water resistant coatings.


Eigenschaften

SILRES® BS 1340 is used in undiluted form to increase water repellency, water resistance and water vapour permeability of waterborne paints and plasters.

Processability, workability and anti-blocking properties can be also improved by including SILRES® BS 1340 into the coatings formulation.

SILRES® BS 1340 is suitable for:

  • silicone resin emulsion paints and silicone resin emulsion plasters
  • silicate emulsion paints and plasters
  • highly-filled emulsion-based coatings
  • emulsion-modified whitewash
  • stoppers

Paints and plasters containing SILRES® BS 1340 are characterized by an excellent water beading effect.

SILRES® BS 1340 can be incorporated in undiluted form to waterborne masonry paints and plasters during or after their production. Recommended dosage is 1 to 3 wt.-% on total formulation.

Lagerung

The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
