Description
This seminar presents the basics of hybrid polymers, including the product portfolio, applications, formulations, the production process, and differences from Kaneka MS polymers.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of recent technology
Topics
Theory:
- Applications (sealants, adhesives, waterproofing, paints)
- Basics of hybrids (silyl-terminated polymers)
- Product portfolio
- Formulations
Lab activities:
- Production process
- Applications
- Adhesives
- Sealants
Seminar objectives
This program is geared toward participants who have considerable experience with Kaneka MS polymers, but who now have to work with hybrid polymers not based on Kaneka MS technology. The primary objective of this seminar is to convey the difference between hybrid polymers and MS polymers. Particular attention will be paid to the unique properties of hybrid polymers: (1) alpha technology, which enables fast curing times without tin catalysts (2) high purity (3) cold processing (drying fillers not required).
Target audience
Technical personnel experienced with Kaneka MS polymers
