Whether in offices, hotels or conference centers, carpets are subject to a great deal of wear and tear, especially in public spaces. That means the backing has to be durable enough for the job. For these types of application areas, the Condor company of the Netherlands has developed a new product line that uses VAE dispersions from WACKER.

Insights: Tile Adhesives

In many countries, tiles are laid using the outdated thick bed process, which consumes large quantities of material. The use of tile adhesives modified with WACKER binders can reduce the sand and cement involved by 80 percent. The difference between the thin- and thick-bed processes can be seen experimentally.
