Planned in the early 1960s as a “City of Science,” Tsukuba is home to three universities, over 300 public and private research centers, and, as of 1999, a WACKER production site. And in the spring of 2017 we opened a WACKER ACADEMY branch.

Production, R&D, application technology, training and professional development are all united here under one roof – a unique combination for Japan and an important milestone in our regional growth strategy.
