In Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, the chemical company WACKER is setting up a new innovation center for silicones. The research laboratory, soon to begin operations, will develop products for the American market.

WACKER’s new silicone production in Jandira, Brazil: The Group is currently building a multi-purpose facility to manufacture antifoam compounds and functional silicone fluids. The new production facility will help the company to solidify its position as one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-quality silicones.

New pilot reactor for VAE dispersions at WACKER’s fully integrated Nanjing site: the new facility will allow WACKER to expand its local research and development activities in China and grow its regional portfolio of product development, application technology and customer services.

WACKER produces HDK^® pyrogenic silica at Burghausen and Nünchritz in Germany and Zhangjiagang in China. The Munich-based chemical company is the world’s third-largest manufacturer in this sector.
