Occupational safety at WACKER
In cooperation with our partner companies, we aim to complete all work-related tasks safely and without causing an accident. We can only achieve this goal if there is clear coordination between partner-company employees and WACKER and an effective flow of information between them. We seek dialogue and coordinate our actions with each other.
After all, occupational safety is all about teamwork.
Site instruction
Prior to being allowed to enter a WACKER site in Germany you must have successfully completed a valid site instruction. The up-to-date short instruction informs you about various topics (e.g. how to behave on site premises, workplace safety regulations, health service, etc.).
Major parts of the site instruction can already be completed online.
After having successfully completed the instruction you must generate a voucher. On the day you want to enter the site, you can directly start the mandatory quiz by means of this voucher. After having successfully completed the quiz you will be granted access to the site.
Site-specific safety briefing (valid for the Burghausen site)
Before starting work in a production plant or other on-site building, you must be informed about the hazards present there (e.g. noise) and about site-specific peculiarities (e.g. assembly point, signing-in and signing-out procedures).
Most of this briefing can be done online in advance.
After successfully completing the briefing, including a quiz, you must generate a certificate. When you visit the site for the first time, you must show this certificate so that it can be entered in the company training pass. The safety briefing you have completed is then valid for another year.
