Description
In addition to providing an introduction to the chemical processes underlying our polymeric binders, this course will focus primarily on reviewing their most important applications.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of chemistry
Agenda
- Introduction to polymer chemistry and polymer binders
- Manufacturing process and mode of action of dispersions and dispersible polymer powders
- Product classes for VINNAPAS® dispersions and polymer powders
- Theoretical and hands-on training on the function, standards and composition of polymer-modified dry-mix mortars: tile adhesives, grout mortars, self-leveling flooring compounds, external thermal insulation composite systems, concrete repair mortars, waterproofing membranes
- Decorative coatings and their test methods
Seminar objectives
Covering both theory and practice, this course will teach you how dry-mix mortars are structured and how polymeric binders can improve their properties in diverse applications. This seminar will also demonstrate that WACKER vinyl acetate-ethylene dispersions are the perfect binders for first-class interior and exterior architectural paints.
Target audience
Technicians, R&D Specialists
