Nünchritz has been an important chemical site since as far back as 1900. After a varied history, we took over the plant in 1998. By modernizing and extending its production facilities, as well as expanding its infrastructure, environmental protection and safety equipment, we laid the foundation for a successful future. With around 1,500 employees, our Nünchritz plant is the largest chemical-industry employer in Saxony.

We produce silicon-based chemical substances, including some 200 different silicones, pyrogenic silica and hyperpure polycrystalline silicon for the solar industry. The plant also operates a cartridge-filling facility for silicone adhesives and sealants. The low-waste and energy-efficient production complex continues to cut energy consumption and reduces the environmental impact of wastewater and emissions. Our quality and environmental management has been certified to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 for many years and the plant has been a member of Saxony’s Environmental Alliance since 2001.

Safety is a top priority for us – meaning we have suitably high technical standards to minimize potential risks for our employees, neighbors and the environment. Our plant fire department is always ready to deal with emergencies.
