PULPSIL® eco 270 C

PULPSIL® eco 270 C is a highly viscous, relatively alkaline resistant, extremely efficient, solvent and water-free silicone antifoam compound, especially developed for use in pulp mills, based on renewable raw materials according to TÜV NORD Standard REDcert².


Properties

PULPSIL® eco 270 C is characterised by:

  • very good handling
  • excellent good long-term efficiency
  • excellent knock-down efficiency

For high efficiency it is necessary that PULPSIL® eco 270 C be well dispersed in the foaming medium.

Therefore PULPSIL® eco 270 C can be added only in neat form if high amounts of surfactants and/or high shear forces ensure a good dispersion.

Preferably PULPSIL® eco 270 C should be added in emulsion form.

The use as a booster to organic defoamers is also possible, but sufficient compatibility of PULPSIL® eco 270 C with the organic system has to be guaranteed.

When used in suitable formulation like emulsion, PULPSIL® eco 270 C is an excellent antifoam agent, recommended for the use in the different pulp processing steps like washing, screening, bleaching and waste water treatment.

The product is thixotropic.

Weak stirring is necessary to reduce the viscosity.

Storage

Store in a dry and cool place.

The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
