ELASTOSIL® RT 623 US A/B
ELASTOSIL® RT 623 US A/B is a pourable, additioncuring, two-component silicone rubber that vulcanizes at room temperature.

ELASTOSIL® RT 623 US A/B has been specially designed as a base material for making printing pads.
Modification of pad hardness by adding silicone fluid produces a dilution effect that causes prolonged pot life and tack-free time and might in extreme cases even result in inhibition of curing.
The markedly greater reactivity of ELASTOSIL® RT 623 A/B will considerably compensate for this dilution effect, thus making for increased production rates and higher quality.
Moreover, the vulcanizate’s high mechanical strength and increased adhesion tendency in conjunction withspecial quality assurance measures (such as release checks on curing characteristics and mechanical properties of the system modified with silicone fluid; tests for absence of pigment particles larger than 100 μm) make ELASTOSIL® RT 623 A/B an ideal base material for producing printing pads with excellent mechanical properties and long service life, which can also easily be recapped.

ELASTOSIL® RT 623 US RTV-2 Silicone Rubber Component A is available in 18 kg. and 162 kg. containers and Component B is available in 2 kg. and 18 kg. (6.6 lb.) containers.

ELASTOSIL® RT 623 US has a shelf life of at least 12 months when stored between 5 °C and 30 °C in the originally sealed container. The 'Best use before end' date of each batch appears on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
